OVERVIEW Welcome to Dates and Places! The terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to Dates and Places. Dates and Places operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services in order to provide you, the customer, with a curated shopping experience (the "Services"). Dates and Places is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.
The below terms and conditions, together with any policies referenced herein (these "Terms of Service" or "Terms") describe your rights and responsibilities when you use the Services.
By visiting, interacting with or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service or Privacy Policy, you should not use or access our Services.
SECTION 1 - ACCESS AND ACCOUNT By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your country of residence. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all of your account activity.
SECTION 2 - OUR PRODUCTS We have made every effort to provide an accurate representation of our products. However, please note that colors or product appearance may differ due to device settings. As our products are printed specifically for you (Print-on-Demand), minor variations in print placement and texture are inherent to the archival aesthetic. We do not warrant that the quality of any products will meet your subjective expectations, but we guarantee they will correspond to the descriptions provided.
SECTION 3 - ORDERS When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. Dates and Places reserves the right to accept or decline your order for any reason. Your order is not accepted until Dates and Places confirms acceptance via email. Please review your order carefully; due to the automated nature of our Print-on-Demand process, we may be unable to accommodate cancellation requests after an order is sent to production.
SECTION 4 - PRICES AND BILLING Prices are subject to change without notice. Unless otherwise expressly stated, posted prices do not include taxes, shipping, or import charges. You represent and warrant that the payment information you provide is true and that you are authorized to use the payment method.
SECTION 5 - SHIPPING AND DELIVERY Delivery times are estimates only. We are not liable for shipping delays caused by carriers or customs processing. Our products are produced and dispatched by fulfillment partners located within the European Union to ensure quality and compliance.
SECTION 6 - INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY Our Services, including all text, images, graphics, and the "dates and places" logo, are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You must not reproduce or distribute any material without our prior written consent.
SECTION 7 - AGENTS AND AI BOTS 7.1 No software or automated Agent may access or interact with our Services unless it identifies itself in the HTTP/HTTPS request as "Agent/[agent name]". 7.2 Agents must not mimic human behavior or circumvent CAPTCHAs. We reserve the right to block any automated access that interferes with the site's operation or security.
SECTION 8 - TERMINATION We may terminate this agreement or your access to the Services at any time without notice if you violate these Terms.
SECTION 9 - DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability for any matter for which it would be unlawful to limit or exclude liability under Finnish Consumer Protection Law. SECTION 10 - SEVERABILITY If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful or void, that portion shall be deemed severed, and the remaining provisions shall remain valid and enforceable.
SECTION 11 - GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION These Terms of Service and any separate agreements shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the District Court of Helsinki (Helsingin käräjäoikeus). Consumer Disputes: If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, you have the right to contact the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta) at www.kuluttajariita.fi.
